He leaves one morn
For a land unknown
Has no past to build upon
Roaming on his own

He raises towns
And he builds a scheme
Writes the law and lays it down
Keeping to his dream

I’ve seen what we could be
A vision of a new world in its majesty
Where all are placid and free
But he can’t know it is not meant to be

Deep inside his heart and soul
He knows where to go
But deeper still he’ll one day find
A force he can’t outgrow

A billion years may have passed
But in the end the same goals guide his hand
Buried deep in his brain

He flies into the stars

Climbs Olympus in his heart
In his mind, becomes a god

But he can’t find the means
To escape his weakness
Wrath and envy start to grow
And his brother is his foe

So he trades integrity
For a state of mind
Where he is somehow one of a kind

For a life in providence
